BREAKOUT SESSIONS
Option 1:
Discipline that Connects with Your Child’s Heart
What kids learn when they are disciplined will last a lifetime. But well-intentioned parents often miss their kids’ hearts during discipline. Instead of building the wisdom and respect they hope for, parents inadvertently build discouragement and resentment, which drives their kids to misbehave more. But it doesn’t have to be that way! Learn four messages that show God’s grace, love, and truth in the middle of your child’s most challenging behaviors.
Facilitated by Pam Thompson, Certified Parenting Coach with Cords of Hope Coaching
Option 2:
Practice of Family Bible Study with Steve and Anne Butler
Conversations about the Bible with your kids do not have to be complicated. In this session, parents will be provided with resources, tips, tools, and inspiration for engaging their families with meaningful and enjoyable Bible discussions. This session is ideal for parents of all ages, but particularly those with middle and high school students or those nearing this stage.
Facilitated by Steve and Anne Butler, author of Feast of Inquiry
Option 3:
The Disciple-Making Grandparent
Come think about how the conference content applies to the high and holy calling of a grandparent. During this session, we will discuss how the conference material works itself out in the joys and challenges of grandparenting. We will explore a variety of family situations, including children who are prodigals and who live far away. You will leave encouraged as a grandparent who desires to see their grandchildren know and follow Jesus.
Facilitated by Chap Bettis, this event’s speaker and author of The Disciple-Making Parent.
