Supplies
Sleep Masks/Blindfolds (3-4 per grade level)
Traffic cones
Red, blue, green, and yellow balls sorted in 3-4 bins

Kinder: K Classroom or DT room
Grades 1 & 3: Classroom 1
Grade 2: Classroom 2
Grades 4-5: Refuge Room

Round 1
Have 3-4 kids at a time sit facing 4 traffic cones with a bucket of 4 colored balls next to them. Tell them they are going to put on their blindfold and race to get 4 balls from the bin on top of the cones in the color order you give. Once the blindfolds are on, give the balls in the bin a mix.

Color Order: Red, Blue, Green, Yellow

For the first round, every blindfolded kid will literally just have to guess which ball is in their hand and be surprised if they got the color order or not. 

Each blindfolded kid will grab a random ball from their bin and place it on top of a cone. Once all 3-4 kids are done, have them take off their blindfolds and see if anyone happened to get the color order. Let everyone in the class do this guessing round. 

The winner is whoever got the color order completed first.

Round 2
This time, repeat the same activity but assign each racer a “guide” (a kid without a blindfold to tell them which ball and cone to reach for). 

Make sure each kid who wants to gets to be a blindfolded racer.

Is it easier to win this game if you have a guide or if you are guessing?

Jesus wants so much for people to “win” in the world. He wants them to experience real love, goodness, kindness, health, peace, hope, and life that comes from being saved from sin.

Today we are going to see how compassionate Jesus was towards people – that he is sad to see so many people without a “guide” for how to truly win in life. We are also going to see how we can be part of the answer to Jesus’ prayers for people.
