Faith Community Church – Hudson, WI

After a courageous yearlong battle with cancer, Daniel “Dan” Clancy passed away on April 24th, 2024, at the age of 61 surrounded by his family and close friends. Dan was born on Fort Meade Base, MD on September 6th, 1962. At the age of 12, following his father’s retirement from the Air Force, Dan relocated to Baltimore graduating from Overlea High School where he met his childhood best friend, Daniel Kelly. Dan went on to study Youth Ministry at Baptist Bible College and Liberty University, graduating from Liberty University in 1986. He had a 38-year career serving in various pastoral positions at 13 different churches, during which he directly impacted the lives of thousands of students and young adults by walking through life with them, sharing his wisdom, and introducing them to salvation through Jesus Christ. During the course of his ministry, he met Leah London. The two fell in love and were married on November 13th, 1996, and committed to spending their lives serving in ministry side by side. Together Dan and Leah built a joy-filled life and a loving family with four children. Dan was preceded in death by his parents James and Margaret Clancy. Dan is lovingly remembered by his wife Leah, their children Kaylee and her husband Chris Mitchell, Anna Clancy, Ky Clancy, and Micah Clancy; his sister Lisa and her husband John Yeager, brothers James (Jimmy) Clancy and his wife Gail, and Michael Clancy and his wife Stephanie. Dan truly embodied his life mission: “To make much of Jesus every day to everyone.” When a friend was describing him, they accurately explained who Dan was by saying: “He loved God, loved his neighbor, and loved, loved, loved seeing people thrive in God’s purpose for their lives.” Dan concluded his lifelong ministry serving at Faith Community Church as the Executive Director of Next Generation Ministries. Dan will be remembered for his loving, compassionate, and fervent desire to share the gospel and to care for the needs of those around him, most specifically youth and young adults and through missions work. In his final days of ministry, despite his battle with cancer, Dan never relented from the joyous pursuit of the Lord, leading seven high school students to Christ during his last time teaching publicly, and even opening up to his barber, sharing his life with him and guiding him to Christ during his final haircut. There will be a visitation at Faith Community Church in Hudson, WI on Monday, May 6th, at 2:00 PM with a memorial service at 4:00 PM and a meal provided after the service. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. The service will be available through a live stream here on this page.
